THE BEST WAY TO COLOUR YOUR HEROES

Scan. Discover. Listen. Colour. Bring the Hero to Life.

1. SCAN THE HERO’S QR CODE

Before you begin colouring, look for the QR code on your hero’s colouring sheet. Open your phone’s camera, centre the code on the screen, and tap the link that appears.

This is where the magic begins.

2. ENTER THE HERO’S WORLD

The QR code opens the hero’s Radix Digital Scroll. Here, you can discover the character’s complete lore.

The lore is completely free to enjoy.

3. READ OR LISTEN

Choose how you want to experience the story. If you love reading, explore the complete lore directly on your phone.

If you prefer listening, simply press play and allow the audiobook to guide you through the hero’s origins, battles, sacrifices, and destiny while you colour.

4. USE HEADPHONES FOR THE BEST EXPERIENCE

Headphones or earbuds are strongly recommended. They allow you to enter the hero’s world without distractions and experience every voice, sound, and moment more deeply.

Listen carefully. The story may inspire the colours, atmosphere, and personality you give to your hero.

5. PREPARE YOUR COLOURING TOOLS

Choose the tools you enjoy using most: coloured pencils, markers, fine liners, gel pens, or a combination of different materials.

There is no single correct colouring kit. Select the tools that give you the greatest control and make the experience enjoyable.

If you use markers, remember that heavy layers may bleed through the paper. Keep the protective page behind your illustration and test unfamiliar colours before applying them.

6. BEGIN THE EXPERIENCE

With the hero’s story ready and your colouring tools prepared, return to the illustration. Place your phone nearby, press play, and allow the lore to accompany you throughout the creative process.

Now you are ready to bring your hero to life.

7. PLAN YOUR COLOUR PALETTE

Before colouring the entire illustration, choose a small group of colours that work well together. Begin with the hero’s main elements, such as the armour, clothing, weapons, or hair.

Apply your first colours gently. A light base layer is much easier to darken and refine later.

8. BUILD COLOUR GRADUALLY

Work from lighter colours towards darker tones. Preserve a few white or pale areas for highlights, then gradually add deeper shades to create volume.

Several controlled layers will usually produce a cleaner and richer result than one heavy layer of colour.

9. CREATE TEXTURE AND CONTRAST

Armour, skin, fabric, leather, stone, and energy should not all look the same. Use stronger highlights and darker shadows for metal, softer transitions for skin, and more varied strokes for fabric or natural materials.

Contrast will help every detail remain visible.

10. BUILD THE WORLD AROUND YOUR HERO

Do not forget the environment. Colour the background gradually, working on one area at a time.

Use colours that complement the hero without overpowering them. The character should remain the centre of attention, while the world around them strengthens the atmosphere of the scene.

11. SLOW DOWN FOR THE DETAILS

These illustrations are intentionally more intricate than ordinary children’s colouring pages. Take your time with the armour, weapons, faces, symbols, textures, and smaller decorative elements.

Use a fine tip for narrow spaces, rotate the page when necessary, and prioritise precision over speed.

12. MAKE THE HERO YOUR OWN

When the illustration is almost finished, step back and examine the complete composition. Deepen any shadows that need more strength, restore important highlights, fill small gaps, and balance the colours across the page.

You may follow the hero’s original colour palette or invent an entirely new version. This is your interpretation, and your hero should feel unmistakably yours.

TAKE YOUR TIME. ENJOY EVERY DETAIL.

These colouring sheets are designed to offer hours of creativity, concentration, and entertainment. They are not meant to be completed in a few minutes.

Listen to the story. Work on one section at a time. Take breaks whenever you need them, and enjoy watching the character slowly emerge from the page.

You are not simply colouring an illustration. You are bringing a legend to life.

WHAT ABOUT THE TRAINING ILLUSTRATIONS?

Some colouring sheets do not unlock the story of a specific hero. Instead, they provide access to lessons designed to help you learn how to play Dungeons & Dragons. You can identify these sheets easily because the lesson title is clearly displayed on the illustration.

Scan their QR codes in exactly the same way to open the corresponding Radix Digital Scroll and access the complete training content.

Unlike the hero stories, these lessons are primarily designed to be read and may not include an audiobook. However, if you would prefer to listen while you colour, you can transform virtually any written lesson, article, or Digital Scroll into an audiobook of your own.

Read or listen—the choice is yours. Keep colouring, keep learning, and enjoy every step of the journey.
