🧩 Module 2: Creating Game Assets with AI

🎯 Goal of the Module

To guide you through the creation of your first visual and audio game assets — using AI to generate 3D models and custom sound effects without any design or coding skills.

🛠 Step 1: Generating 3D Models with Meshi

Meshi is an AI-powered 3D model generator. You simply describe what you need, and Meshi creates it for you, ready to be used inside your game engine.

🛫 Example Task:

You need a fighter jet — this will be your main in-game vehicle.

Prompt to Meshi:
"Generate a simple low-poly fighter jet, military style, with a gray metallic texture and minimal details for performance."

Meshi will produce a clean, lightweight 3D model you can preview and download. You can generate:

  • A basic version for standard gameplay

  • A more premium model for unlockable upgrades or purchases

Prompt for Upgrade Version:
"Create a premium version of the same jet with sleeker design, reflective surface, and afterburner details."

🔄 Output: You now have two jet models — one for default gameplay, and one for premium access.

🔊 Step 2: Generating Sounds with ElevenLabs

Sound is essential for immersion. ElevenLabs allows you to generate realistic sound effects simply by describing them.

✈️ Example Sound Prompts:
  1. Jet Engine Loop
"Create a continuous low-frequency fighter jet engine sound that loops smoothly during flight."

  2. Gunfire Sound
"Generate a short, sharp burst sound for a jet-mounted machine gun."

These files are created instantly and can be exported in .mp3 or .wav format, ready to be attached to in-game actions.

🎨 Best Practices When Creating Assets

  • Keep models lightweight: Especially for browser-based games, simplicity helps performance.

  • Use consistent styles: Make sure your jet and environment feel like they belong in the same world.

  • Loopable audio: Engine and ambient sounds should loop cleanly to avoid immersion breaks.

By the End of This Module You Will:

  • Have at least two 3D jet models ready to import into your game.

  • Have custom sound effects for engine noise and gunfire.

  • Understand how to prompt AI tools effectively to match your visual/audio style.
