How to Assemble Your Token-Cards

A Dungeon Crafter’s Full Guide

Greetings, adventurer.

Within this set lies a clever little treasure: a collection of mini Token-Cards made for both gameplay and learning.

Each Token-Card has two faces:

  • Front: a playable fantasy character for your Dungeons & Dragons sessions

  • Back: the matching Lesson Card, featuring its QR code and access to extra content, guidance, and surprises

These Token-Cards are designed to be small, collectible, practical, and easy to build. Once assembled, they become sturdy mini cards that can stand upright in a mini base, ready to join your tabletop adventures.

What You Will Need

Before beginning your crafting quest, prepare the following:

  • The character sticker sheet

  • The lesson QR sticker sheet

  • The A4 cardboard sheet included with the set

  • A pair of scissors

Optional, but highly recommended for a cleaner and more professional finish:

  • A precision craft knife / precision cutter

  • A ruler

  • A cutting mat

A precision cutter is often easier to use than scissors for this kind of work, especially when you want the edges to look sharp, straight, and professional—and they are usually not expensive

Each character matches one specific lesson QR card.

Do not mix them.

Every front side must be paired with its correct back side, so each playable hero is linked to the correct lesson and bonus content

Step-by-Step Assembly Guide

Step 1 – Choose Your Character

Begin by selecting the hero, creature, or character you want to build from the character sticker sheet.

Then find the matching lesson QR card on the lesson sticker sheet.

Each character is linked to its own specific lesson, so make sure you keep the correct pair together.

Think of them as bound by magic:

one side for the adventure,
one side for the knowledge.

Step 2 – Cut Out the Character Sticker

Carefully cut out the chosen character sticker from the large character sheet.

Take your time. These Token-Cards are small, and clean cuts will make the final result look much better.

Step 3 – Cut Out the Matching QR Lesson Sticker

Now cut out the matching lesson QR sticker from the large lesson sheet.

Again, make sure it corresponds to the same character.

By this point, you should have:

  • 1 character sticker

  • 1 matching QR lesson sticker

Keep them together so they do not get mixed with other cards.

Step 4 – Stick the Character onto the A4 Cardboard

Take the character sticker and peel off its backing.

Now place it carefully onto the A4 cardboard sheet provided with the set.

Press it down firmly so it sits flat and smooth.

At this stage, do not attach the QR side yet.

First, the front character must be mounted onto the cardboard.

Step 5 – Cut the Character Out with the Cardboard

Once the character sticker is attached to the cardboard, carefully cut around it.

This means you are now cutting both the printed sticker and the cardboard together, creating a solid front piece.

This step gives the Token-Card its structure and firmness.

Without the cardboard, it would remain too thin and flimsy. With the cardboard core inside, it becomes a proper mini card worthy of the table.

Step 6 – Turn It Over and Attach the Matching QR Sticker

Now turn the piece over.

Take the matching QR lesson sticker, peel off the backing, and stick it onto the back of the cardboard.

Because the front side has already been cut to shape, this makes it easier to place the back side correctly and keep both parts aligned.

Press it down firmly and smoothly.

Now your Token-Card has both sides:

  • Front: the playable character

  • Back: the matching lesson and QR code

Step 7 – Refine and Trim the Edges

Once both sides are attached, inspect the edges carefully.

If needed, trim or refine the borders so everything looks even, clean, and well aligned.

This final touch makes a big difference.

You can do this with scissors, but for the cleanest finish, a precision cutter and ruler can help make the edges look more straight and professional.

If you want your Token-Cards to look truly polished, this is the step where craftsmanship matters.

Step 8 – Insert the Token-Card into the Mini Base

Once the Token-Card is complete, slide it gently into the mini base.

Now it can stand upright on the table.

With the character facing forward, it becomes a playable tabletop token.

With the lesson facing forward, it becomes a scannable learning card.

How to Use Your Token-Card

For Gameplay

Place the character side facing outward and use it during your Dungeons & Dragons sessions to represent your hero, creature, NPC, or enemy.

It is a compact and stylish way to bring your table to life.

For Learning

Flip the Token-Card around and scan the QR code on the back.

This grants access to the lesson linked to that character, along with additional content and extra surprises.

So each Token-Card is both:

  • a playable mini token

  • a lesson card

  • a collectible item

  • a gateway to bonus content

Dungeon Crafter’s Tips

  • Always keep each character with its matching QR card

  • Stick the character first, not both sides at once

  • Cut the front side with the cardboard before attaching the back

  • Trim the final edges carefully for a better finish

  • If possible, use a precision cutter for straighter and more professional cuts

  • Work slowly—these are small cards, and patience gives the best result

Why These Token-Cards Are Special

These are not just tiny printed cards.

They are designed to combine:

  • tabletop play

  • D&D learning

  • collectibility

  • interactive QR content

One side lets you play.
The other side lets you learn.

A hero in your hand.
A lesson at your fingertips.

Final Words, Adventurer

Your Token-Cards are small artifacts of play and knowledge, built to stand beside you on the table and guide you beyond it.

Cut carefully.
Match each lesson wisely.
Mount the character first.
Turn it over.
Seal the lesson behind it.

Set it into its base.
And let the adventure begin.
